WHL Roundup: Bauer’s OT winner drives Oil Kings past Blades

SASKATOON – Lane Bauer scored the winner 25 seconds into overtime to lift the Edmonton Oil Kings to a 3-2 victory over the Saskatoon Blades in Western Hockey League action on Sunday.

Adam Berg tied the game 2-2 early in the third with a power-play goal for Edmonton (3-3-1). Colton Kehler had the first goal, also on a power play, 18:14 into the first period.

Logan Christensen and Bryton Sayers had back-to-back goals to give the Blades (4-2-1) a 2-1 lead.

Liam Hughes made 22 saves for the win. Brock Hamm stopped 31 shots in the losing effort.
