WHL Roundup: Hitmen dominate in win over Raiders

CALGARY – Cody Porter only had to make 18 saves and the Calgary Hitmen had six different goal scores en route to a 6-1 victory on Thursday against the Prince Albert Raiders in Western Hockey League play.

Jordy Stallard, Jakob Stukel, Jake Bean, Carsen Twarynski, Pavel Karnaukhov and Tyler Mrkonjic all found the back of the net for the Hitmen (17-11-2).

Kolten Olynek kept the Raiders (16-8-3) from being shut out when he beat Porter at 16:16 of the third period.

Ian Scott stopped 21-of-25 shots for Prince Albert before giving way to Rylan Parenteau, who made three saves in 19:39 of relief.

Calgary went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Raiders failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
