CALGARY — All the Red Deer Rebels needed on Tuesday night were Adam Musil and Riley Lamb.
Lamb stopped all 26 shots he faced and Musil had a hat trick as Red Deer shut out the Calgary Hitmen 3-0 on Tuesday in Western Hockey League action.
Musil scored in each period for Red Deer (11-10-3), the third time into an empty net.
Cody Porter turned aside 24-of-26 shots for Calgary (8-10-2).
The Rebels did not score on their four power play and the Hitmen didn’t have any man advantages.

MOOSE JAW, Sask. — Max Gerlach scored the power-play winner 5:37 into the third period as Medicine Hat downed the Warriors.
Ty Schultz and Chad Butcher, into an empty net, added some insurance as Medicine Hat (17-5-1) won its sixth straight. Matt Bradley, John Dahlstrom and Zach Fischer chipped in as well.
Jayden Halbgewachs had back-to-back goals for Moose Jaw (13-5-4) and Nikita Popugaev also found the back of the net.

COUGARS 5 PATS 2
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. –Brendan Guhle, Jansen Harkins and Colby McAuley all scored in the first period as the Cougars jumped out to an early lead against Regina and never looked back.
Kody McDonald and Jesse Gabrielle both had empty-net goals in the final two minutes of play as Prince George (18-4-2) won its fourth consecutive game.
Austin Wagner and Sergey Zborovskiy replied for the Pats (16-2-3).

THUNDERBIRDS 5 OIL KINGS 2
KENT, Wash. — Scott Eansor’s goal late in the first period stood as the eventual winner as Seattle fended off Edmonton.
Jarret Tyszka, Donovan Neuls and Reece Harsch also scored as the Thunderbirds (11-8-2) built a 4-0 lead by the 1:18 mark of the third. Sami Moilanen put the puck into an empty net.
Tyler Robertson and Brayden Gorda supplied the offence for the Oil Kings (10-11-2).

BRONCOS 5 BLADES 1
SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. — Tyler Steenbergen struck twice — once on the power play — as the Broncos defeated Saskatoon.
Ryan Graham had the eventual winner late in the first period for Swift Current (12-7-6), while Lane Pederson and Kaden Elder also scored.
Logan Christensen had a power-play goal in the third period for the Blades (9-15-1), who have dropped four in a row.

ROYALS 6 ROCKETS 2
VICTORIA — Matthew Phillips had a pair of power-play goals, including the winner, as the Royals skated past Kelowna.
Ryan Peckford and Mitchell Prowse also had goals as Victoria (14-9-2) scored four unanswered goals. Regan Nagy and Jack Walker rounded out the Royals’ attack.
Kole Lind and Devante Stephens responded for the Rockets (13-11-0).
