BRANDON, Man. — Nolan Patrick scored once and set up two more as the Brandon Wheat Kings downed the visiting Red Deer Rebels 5-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Tyler Coulter and Tanner Kaspick had a pair of goals apiece for the Wheat Kings (1-0-1) while Stelio Mattheos chipped in with three assists.
Jordan Papirny kicked out 36-of-38 shots for the win.
D-Jay Jerome and Grayson Pawlenchuk scored for the Rebels (1-1-2), who got a 27-save effort from Trevor Martin.
Brandon went 2 for 5 on the power play while Red Deer scored twice on six chances with the man advantage.

CRANBROOK, B.C. — Logan Christensen broke a 2-2 deadlock at 7:26 of the third as Saskatoon edged Kootenay.
Luke Gingras and Wyatt Sloboshan also scored for the Blades (2-2-0) while Brock Hamm made 30 saves for the win.
Zak Zborosky had both goals for the Ice (0-2-2). Declan Hobbs turned away 20-of-23 shots in a losing cause.

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. — Stuart Skinner stopped all 34 shots his way and Ryley Lindgren scored twice as the Hurricanes blanked Calgary.
Tyler Wong added a goal and two helpers and Egor Babenko also scored to round out the Lethbridge (3-1-0) offence.
Cody Porter stopped 22-of-25 shots for the Hitmen (2-1-0).
Hurricane skaters Kord Pankewicz and Brady Reagan and Calgary’s Andrew Fyten and Taylor Sanheim were handed game misconducts at 16:15 of the third.

MOOSE JAW, Alta. — Jayden Halbgewachs scored his second goal 2:45 into the extra period as the Warriors slipped past Edmonton.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Kailer Yamamoto struck twice and Hudson Elynuik had a goal and three helpers as the Chiefs beat Tri-City.
