MOOSE JAW, Sask. – Brayden Burke scored once and set up four more as the Moose Jaw Warriors halted the Brandon Wheat Kings’ win streak at 10 games with a 7-4 victory on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Vince Loschiavo and Jayden Halbgewachs each had a pair of goals for the Warriors (27-6-2) while Justin Almeida and Jaxan Kaluski rounded out the offence.
Baron Thompson, Connor Gutenberg, Stelio Mattheos and Caiden Daley scored for the Wheat Kings (24-8-1).
Brody Willms made 25 saves for the win. Logan Thompson allowed five goals on 18 shots through two periods of work before giving way to Dylan Myskiw, who stopped 8-of-10 shots in relief.
Moose Jaw went 2 for 6 on the power play while Brandon failed to score on seven chances with the man advantage.

CRANBROOK, B.C. — Peyton Krebs had a goal and two assists as Kootenay toppled Calgary to snap a three-game slide.
Cameron Hausinger, Michael King, Dallas Hines and Sebastian Streu also scored for the Ice (14-17-2). Duncan McGovern made 24 saves for the win.
Mark Kastelic was the lone scorer for the Hitmen (10-18-4). Matthew Armitage combined with Nick Schneider for 16 saves in defeat.

REGINA — Taylor Ross scored twice and added two helpers as Lethbridge halted a four-game skid by downing the Pats.
Dylan Cozens, Jake Elmer, Ryan Bowen and Giorgio Estephan also scored while Jordy Bellerive had three assists for the Hurricanes (15-16-2). Stuart Skinner made 33 saves for the win.
Robbie Holmes and Matt Bradley replied for Regina (16-16-3). Tyler Brown gave up five goals on 28 shots thorugh 40 minutes to take the loss.

SASKATOON — James Porter made 40 saves and Kyle Topping scored twice as Kelowna shut out the Blades.
Jack Cowell, Carsen Twarynski and Liam Kindree scored for the Rockets (20-11-3) while Kole Lind tacked on three assists.
Ryan Kubic turned away 20 shots for Saskatoon (14-17-3), which lost for the first time in four outings.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Eli Zummack and Jaret Anderson-Dolan each scored twice as Spokane doubled up the Winterhawks.
Cedric Chenier and Riley Woods also scored for the Chiefs (18-12-3). Donovan Buskey made 37 saves for the win.
Alex Overhardt, Skyler McKenzie and Ty Kolle responded for Portland (21-10-1). Cole Kehler stopped 24-of-29 shots in defeat.
Spokane’s Riley McKay was given a major penalty and game misconduct for checking to the head at 19:09 of the third period.

EDMONTON — Mark Rassell scored in the shootout as Medicine Hat edged the Oil Kings to snap a four-game losing streak.
David Quenneville, Max Gerlach and Dawson Heathcote scored in regulation for the Tigers (18-14-2), who got 30 saves from Jordan Hollett.
Davis Koch, Tomas Soustal and Trey Fix-Wolansky scored for the Oil Kings (7-22-4), losers of four straight. Josh Dechaine turned away 30 shots in defeat.
