BRANDON, Man. — Dylan Myskiw turned away 43 shots as the Brandon Wheat Kings edged the Kamloops Blazers 3-2 on Tuesday to extend their winning streak to nine games in Western Hockey League action.
Baron Thompson knocked in the eventual winner on a power play for the Wheat Kings (23-7-1) at 5:44 of the second period.
Evan Weinger and Jonny Hooker also scored for Brandon.
Garrett Pilon and Carson Denomie supplied the offence for the Blazers (14-16-1) while Dylan Ferguson made 30 saves.
The Wheat Kings went 1 for 5 on the power play. Kamloops was 0 for 2 with the man advantage.
