31 Thoughts podcast: What’s holding up the NHL trade market?

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman joins Tim and Sid to discuss the lay of the land as the NHL trade deadline approaches including who could be movers and shakers.

With several big names available as teams fall out of the playoff race, the NHL trade market should start to pick up, but why wait for February’s trade deadline?

As Elliotte Friedman wrote in his latest 31 Thoughts column, it’s only a matter of time before teams make their moves, but a couple of hurdles are standing in the way as of now.

The new 31 Thoughts podcast, hosted by Friedman and Jeff Marek, goes over said topic and more.

“I have a theory, Jeff, that there is a team or two that a lot of other clubs want to deal with that aren’t ready to do anything yet. And that’s holding things up,” said Friedman in a clip.

The podcast will come out with a new episode each Wednesday, with Episode 1 coming out on Jan. 10, and you can listen to our first teaser in the player below:
