The Edmonton Oilers are searching for answers after losing 11 games in a row. One possibility could be a roster shake-up.

On Wednesday night, Sportsnet’s Nick Kypreos heard rumblings of possible trade talks involving the Oilers and Boston Bruins.

According to Comcast Sportsnet’s Joe Haggerty, the Oilers could be targeting Bruins forward Milan Lucic.

This latest update comes just weeks after Damien Cox and Elliotte Friedman reported the Oilers were “desperate” to make a trade.

However, opposing general managers were under the impression that Edmonton was unwilling to deal any of its core young players. There have also been rumours that David Perron is available, although no fit has yet been found.

It remains to be seen if the Oilers’ stance has changed on any of their players.

Edmonton could use help everywhere. The most logical position of need is at centre or on defence, with the Oilers boasting the worst goal differential in the Western Conference (minus-20).

The club released a statement Thursday evening that GM Craig MacTavish will address the media on Friday.
