Avalanche sign Grigorenko to one-year contract

The Colorado Avalanche signed forward Mikhail Grigorenko to a one-year contract, the team announced Thursday.

Grigorenko, who was a restricted free agent, will earn a reported $675,000 during the 2015-16 season.

The 21-year-old Russian was acquired from the Sabres on June 26 as part of the deal that sent Ryan O’Reilly to Buffalo. He split last season between the Sabres and the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League
