BUFFALO, N.Y. — Analyst and former NHL player Matthew Barnaby has been served with two new court orders following an argument with his estranged wife in upstate New York last month.

The orders bar the 38-year-old from offensive conduct against his wife and require him to keep away from her boyfriend.

Barnaby declined to comment after Friday’s state Supreme Court hearing.

Barnaby was arrested May 13 at the Getzville home where his wife and two children live. He’s pleaded not guilty to five charges, including criminal mischief, trespass and harassment.

Lawyers told the judge the case may be resolved before trial.

Barnaby played for the Buffalo Sabres and six other teams before retiring in 2007 because of a concussion sustained during a fight.
