Foxborough, Mass.— Mike Condon is a huge New England Patriots fan.
While the Montreal Canadiens goalie didn’t get to meet Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, Belichick and Brady left Condon with a special present to commemorate the occasion of playing in the 2016 Bridgestone Winter Classic at Foxborough.
On Thursday, when it was announced that Condon would be starting in the Classic, he put the experience of playing in Foxborough in perspective:
“Usually when I’m at Gillette Stadium, I’m in the last row of the nose bleeds,” said Condon. “But it’s nice to be back on the main level.”
