Blackhawks sign goalie Jeff Glass to two-year deal

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed goaltender Jeff Glass to a two-year deal, the team announced Thursday.

Glass, 31, has played 10 games with the Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate Rockford IceHogs since debuting on Jan. 18, registering a 5-4-1 record, 2.38 goals against average and .917 save percentage with two shutouts.

Overall, the netminder has a 48-72-6 record through 147 career AHL games, and has gone 81-87-30 during a seven-year stint in the KHL. He has yet to suit up for an NHL game.

Glass’ contract runs through the end of the 2017-18 season.
