Blue Jackets’ Goloubef takes puck to face, suffers fractured jaw

Gotta See It: Goloubef takes wrist shot to the face, stays on skates

The Columbus Blue Jackets lost two defencemen to injury Friday night, leaving them with four for the rest of their game against the Nashville Predators.

Cody Goloubef was taken to a local hospital after taking a wrist shot to the face. It was soon determined that he had fractured his jaw.

Fedor Tyutin also left the game with an upper-body injury.

It turns out the entire team has been putting themselves in harm’s way Friday. The club blocked 14 shots in the first period alone.

It’s the second game in two nights for the Blue Jackets.
