Blue Jackets sign Sedlak to entry-level contract

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed forward Lukas Sedlak to a standard three-year, entry-level contract.

The 20-year-old has spent the past two seasons with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, scoring 32 goals with 47 assists and 121 penalty minutes in 98 regular-season games. He added six goals and seven assists in 24 QMJHL playoff games. In 2012-13, he had 15 goals and 19 assists and 64 penalty minutes in 48 games.

A native of Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, Sedlak represented his country at the 2012 and 2013 IIHF World Junior Championships.
