Blue Jackets sign undrafted Justin Scott to 3-year deal

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed undrafted free agent Justin Scott to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Scott has enjoyed a very successful 2016 playoffs with the OHL Barrie Colts. He leads the league in post-season goals (14) and has added two assists in 11 games. His play even drew praise from Don Cherry on a recent Coach’s Corner segment.

The 20-year-old finished the regular season with 28 goals and 65 points, while serving as an alternate captain.

The Colts will face the Niagara IceDogs in the Eastern Conference final.
