Atkinson tweets graphic image of gruesome injury

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cam Atkinson suffered a gruesome injury when he took a skate to the face from Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Kesler on Friday night.

On Saturday, Atkinson revealed the damage in a graphic photo posted on Twitter. Warning: It ain’t pretty.

According to reports, Atkinson did not suffer any serious damage on the play.

The Blue Jackets have the day off Saturday, but it remains to be seen whether Atkinson will suit up when Columbus takes on the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday.
