The St. Louis Blues are set to get their captain back in the mix as defenceman Alex Pietrangelo has been activated from injured reserve, the club announced on Sunday.

Pietrangelo has been sidelined for his club’s past four games while dealing with a lower-body injury.

Through 30 games this season, the King City, Ont., native has amassed seven goals and 23 points for the Blues. His team has already been decimated by injury this season, as the Blues are currently without key names like Jaden Schwartz, Robby Fabbri, and Jay Bouwmeester.

Pietrangelo’s first chance at returning to the lineup will come against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday.
