The St. Louis Blues have signed Scottie Upshall to a one-year deal, the club announced Wednesday morning.
Upshall signed with the Blues as a free agent in 2015, and registered six goals and eight assists in 70 games with the club in 2015-16. The 32-year-old forward also added one goal and two assists during the Blues’ playoff run.
Upshall was one of five players slated for free agency this July. David Backes, Troy Brouwer, Steve Ott and Kyle Brodziak will all be UFAs if not signed by July 1.
In total, the Fort McMurray native has 121 goals and 127 assists for 248 points in 623 career NHL regular season games split between the Nashville Predators, Philadelphia Flyers, Phoenix Coyotes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers and Blues.
