Brian Boyle to make Maple Leafs debut Tuesday vs. Sharks

NHL insider Jeff Marek breaks down the Brian Boyle deal for the Maple Leafs, saying he has the size, the experience and he'll help on faceoffs right away.

Newly acquired Maple Leafs centre Brian Boyle will make his debut with his new team as they take on the Sharks in San Jose Tuesday.

He is expected to slide in on the fourth line alongside Matt Martin.

Boyle has 13 goals and 22 points in 54 games this season and his having one of the best years of his career by puck possession metrics. He’s winning 53 per cent of his faceoffs, can play penalty kill minutes, and Babcock even suggested he may use Boyle in front of the net on the power play.
