Bruins add forward depth, landing Lee Stempniak in deal with Devils

Lee Stempniak was dealt to Boston.

The Boston Bruins made a depth addition up front just after the 3 p.m. trade deadline, acquiring Lee Stempniak from the New Jersey Devils.

Stempniak, 33, has 16 goals and 25 assists in 63 games with New Jersey this season.

The veteran winger is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent after the season.

Stempniak has appeared in 771 career NHL games with the Devils, Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Calgary Flames, Arizona Coyotes, Toronto Maple Leafs, and St. Louis Blues.
