Boston Bruins centre Patrice Bergeron left the Air Canada Centre after Saturday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs with his right leg in a walking boot, according to multiple reporters at the game.
It’s unclear when Bergeron was injured or how serious the injury is, although some reports are suggesting it may have occurred when he blocked a shot in the second period.
Bergeron played the entire game, had two assists and led all Bruins skaters in ice time with 19:15.
If the injury is serious, the Bruins will be without their top centre and a potential Hart Trophy finalist. This season, the 32-year-old has 27 goals and 54 points in 54 games, with a plus-26 rating.
