Bruins place David Krejci on injured reserve, recall Anders Bjork

The Hockey Central panel clears up the confusion for Maple Leafs fans, after the controversial penalty shot call in their overtime loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Boston Bruins have placed centre David Krejci on injured reserve and recalled forward Anders Bjork from AHL Providence on an emergency basis ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Krejci, 33, suffered an upper-body injury on Oct. 14 against the Anaheim Ducks and hasn’t played since then. He also missed the season opener with a lower-body injury.

In five games this season Krejci has one assist.

Bjork, 23, had three goals and eight points in seven AHL games to lead Providence in scoring. He has appeared in 50 games with the Bruins over the last two seasons.
