Bruins recall Subban, will join team in Edmonton

The Boston Bruins have recalled goaltender Malcolm Subban from the AHL, general manager Peter Chiarelli announced on Monday. Subban will join the Bruins in Edmonton on Tuesday.

Subban has played in 24 games for Providence this season — posting a 2.47 goals against average and a .920 save percentage, to earn a 10-10-3 record.

The 21-year-old appeared in 33 games with Providence in the 2013-2014 campaign, finishing with a 15-10-5 record while earning a 2.31 goals against average and a .920 save percentage.
