BOSTON — Mark Recchi is going to get another chance to win the Stanley Cup.
The veteran forward is on his way to the Boston Bruins in a deal that will see prospects Matt Lashoff and Martins Karsums go to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Bruins also get a second-round draft pick.
The 41-year-old Recchi will join his seventh NHL team and is after his third Stanley Cup. He won a championship with Pittsburgh in 1991 and Carolina in 2006.
He’s earning US$1.5 million and will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Recchi is having a bit of a renaissance season. He had five assists in a game against Calgary over the weekend.
In 62 games with the Lightning, he had 13 goals and 32 assists.
