Bruins sign forward Dominic Moore to 1-year deal

Dominic Moore comments on his annual Smashfest Charity Ping-Pong Challenge to help raise awareness for rare cancers and concussions.

The Boston Bruins have signed forward Dominic Moore to a one-year, $900,000 contract, the team announced Tuesday.

Moore spent the last three seasons with the New York Rangers. The 36-year-old centre totalled six goals and 15 points in 80 games in 2015-16.

Moore converted 55.3 per cent of his face off opportunities with the Rangers in 2015-16.

The Rangers originally selected Moore in the third round, 95th overall, in the 2000 NHL Draft.

Moore has scored 89 goals and registered 245 points in 765 career games with the Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, Buffalo Sabres, Florida Panthers, Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning, and San Jose Sharks.
