Bruins’ Torey Krug to miss six months after shoulder surgery

Boston Bruins defenceman Torey Krug will miss the next six months after undergoing right shoulder surgery.

The Bruins announced on Tuesday that Krug, along with forwards Matt Beleskey and David Krejci, underwent successful surgeries and are expected to make full recoveries.

Krug, 25, had surgery on April 21 and had 40 assists in 81 games for the Bruins this year.

Krejci is expected to be out five months after having surgery performed on his left hip on April 25. The Czech Republic native tied for second on Boston with 63 points in 72 games.

Beleskey had surgery on his left hand on April 14 and is expected to take six weeks to recover. The 27-year-old had 22 assists and 37 points in 80 games this season for the Bruins and led the team with 260 hits.
