NEW YORK — The NHL’s department of player safety has announced that Boston Bruins forward Zac Rinaldo will have a hearing on Tuesday to determine whether he faces further disciplinary action for his check to the head of Tampa Bay centre Cedric Paquette.
Rinaldo was issued a minor penalty for an illegal check to the head in the first period of 4-1 loss at Boston on Sunday.
Paquette was playing the puck in his own corner, when Rinaldo caught him with a high hit that caught him across the right side of his head. Paquette left the game before returning to action.
