20-foot goal lamp to light up North Pole for Team Canada

Sidney Crosby caused all kinds of problems for the Senators while Connor Mcdavid reminded us all why he was the first overall pick in 2015.

We see your “top of the skyscraper” and raise you “top of the world.”

Those ad wizards at Budweiser, who may or may not have placed a goal light in your husband’s man-cave, are upping the ante for September’s World Cup of Hockey.

As depicted in an extended commercial and tweeted out by good ol’ Canadian boy Don Cherry, the beer company is dragging a 20-foot goal lamp across Canada and all the way up to the North Pole, with a few pit stops in between.

The idea is simple: Every time Team Canada scores, that sucker will glow like Rudolph’s beak.

"It gave me chills," Cherry tweeted after watching the ad. "I love it."
