Burrows misses Canucks game with injury

Although Ryan Kesler made his return to Vancouver and Rogers Arena on Thursday, his former teammate was absent.

Alexandre Burrows missed Thursday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks with an injury.

The 33-year-old was injured when he took a hard hit from Edmonton Oilers forward Matt Hendricks in Wednesday’s 5-4 victory.

Burrows has four goals and nine points in 16 games so far this season.

Linden Vey took Burrows’ spot on the third line while Bo Horvat centred the fourth.
