The Montreal Canadiens announced Monday that they have added Dave Starman and Eric Crawford to their scouting staff.

Starman, who served as an NCAA hockey analyst for ESPN and CBS over the last 13 years, will now scout the American college circuit for the Canadiens. The role will not prohibit him from continuing as a television analyst.

Crawford, younger brother to Stanley Cup winning-coach Marc, will serve as a pro scout with Montreal after more than a decade spent in various roles with the Vancouver Canucks.

Crawford served most recently as the Canucks’ director of player personnel. He, along with vice president of hockey operations and assistant general manager Laurence Gilman and assistant GM Lorne Henning, was let go by the organization on July 2.
