Canadiens agree to one-year, two-way deal with Yannick Veilleux

The Montreal Canadiens have agreed to a one-year, two-way AHL/ECHL deal with forward Yannick Veilleux, the team announced on Thursday.

The 24-year-old recorded six goals and 16 points in 53 games for the AHL’s St. John’s IceCaps, along with three goals and 11 points for the ECHL’s Brampton Beast.

Selected by the St. Louis Blues in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft, the Saint-Hippolyte, Que., native has yet to appear in an NHL game.
