Canadiens announce Dale Weise will miss 2-3 weeks

BROSSARD, Que. — Montreal Canadiens forward Dale Weise was placed on injured reserve Sunday after suffering an upper-body injury in a 5-1 win over Boston at the Winter Classic on New Year’s Day.

Weise is expected to be out of the lineup for two to three weeks, the Canadiens said in a release.

The 27-year-old Winnipeg native has 20 points (11 goals, nine assists) in 40 games this season.
