Canadiens assign Blunden to AHL Wednesday

MONTREAL — The Montreal Canadiens assigned forward Michael Blunden to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old Blunden made the NHL club out of training camp but was a healthy scratch for the first two games of the season.

The six-foot-four Toronto native had seven goals and seven assist in 36 games for Hamilton this season.

He has four goals and four assists in 90 NHL games over six seasons.
