Canadiens’ David Desharnais out three weeks with broken foot

Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored a goal and added two assists as the Arizona Coyotes crushed the Montreal Canadiens to complete the season sweep.

Another blow for the Montreal Canadiens.

The team announced Friday that it will be without forward David Desharnais for the next three weeks.

As per the Canadiens, Desharnais broke his foot when he was hit by a shot during the club’s dismal 6-2 loss to the Arizona Coyotes Feb. 15. He was seen in a walking boot shortly after, and has not practiced since.

The 29-year-old centre has nine goals and 17 assists in 57 games this season.
