Canadiens F Martin Reway in hospital, to miss training camp

Carey Price will finally see game action on Friday, and there will likely be many nervous eyes on the netminder during it. But for Price's and Babcock's part, they're not worried.

MONTREAL — Promising Canadiens winger Martin Reway is in hospital in Slovakia being treated for an undisclosed virus and will miss Montreal’s training camp, the club announced Thursday.

The team gave no further details of his condition.

Reway, 21, was drafted in the fourth round by Montreal in 2013.

The former Gatineau Olympiques player split last season between Fribourg in the Swiss league, where he had 21 points in 19 games, and Sparta Prague in the Czech league, where he had five goals and 15 points in 14 games.
