Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty has returned from Switzerland to recover from minor injuries.
He reportedly has an elbow injury and missed the last two games with Ambri-Piotta as a healthy scratch due to the club being over the quota for non-Swiss players.
Max Pacioretty leaving Ambri. Official story is elbow injury, speculation of true reason varies from disagreement w/ coach to culture shock.

Official reason for Max’s return seems to be health issues; he had a bad flu. I suspect there may be other issues re import quotas #Habs

Pacioretty, a Connecticut native, had one goal in five games with Ambri-Piotta.
Last season, he tallied 33 goals and 32 assists in 79 games with the Montreal Canadiens.
Pacioretty’s health issues are said to be minor and will not prevent him from missing playing time with the Canadiens should the lockout be resolved soon.
Thank you #HCAP fans for all of the support. It was an honor to play infront of you especially in Valascia
