The Montreal Canadiens have recalled forward John Scott from the AHL’s St. John’s IceCaps.

The 6-foot-8 Scott has yet to play for the Canadiens since being acquired in a trade from the Arizona Coyotes on Jan. 15.

He was voted to the 2016 NHL All-Star Game as the captain of the Pacific Division, where he scored two goals and was named MVP.

The 33-year-old has one assist in 11 games this season with the Coyotes, and five goals in 285 career NHL games.

Montreal is sending rookie forward Michael McCarron back to St. John’s in a corresponding move.

They’ve also recalled defenceman Ryan Johnston on an emergency basis.

The Canadiens have just three games remaining this season.
