Canucks forward Brock Boeser to make season debut vs. Jets

Bo Horvat scored two goals including the game winner as the Vancouver Canucks beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2. Cam Talbot was pulled early after giving up three goals on seven shots.

Vancouver Canucks rookie forward Brock Boeser will make his season debut Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets, head coach Travis Green confirmed.

Boeser, 20, was a surprise scratch for the Canucks in the team’s first two games after he had four goals and seven points in the pre-season.

Originally a first-round pick in 2015, Boeser appeared in nine games with the Canucks at the end of last season. He scored four goals and had an assist in those games.
