Canucks’ Jake Virtanen suspended two games for Polak hit

Logan Couture and Joe Pavelski helped the San Jose Sharks defeat the Vancouver Canucks.

Vancouver Canucks forward Jake Virtanen was suspended two games by the NHL’s department of player safety on Wednesday for his hit on Roman Polak of the San Jose Sharks.

Virtanen received a game misconduct for interference at 2:01 of the second period for the infraction.

Logan Couture scored his first NHL hat trick on Tuesday night as the Sharks got past Vancouver 4-1.
