Canucks sign forward Griffen Molino to entry-level deal

Sean Monahan had a four point night, Yanni Gourde came up big for the Bolts and Eddie Lack was stretchered off the ice in Carolina.

The Vancouver Canucks have signed free agent Griffen Molino to a two-year entry-level contract.

“Griffen is a competitive two-way forward with good speed and defensive instincts,” Canucks general manager Jim Benning said in a statement. “He’s made significant contributions to Western Michigan’s success over two seasons and we’re excited to have him join our organization and take the next step in his development.”

Molino totalled 15 goals and 33 points in 40 games with Western Michigan University this season, whose season ended on Saturday with a loss in the NCAA East Regional semifinals.
