NHL teams can stop worrying about a flat salary cap.
According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, early estimates are that the cap will be end up somewhere in the “mid-to-low” $70 million range next season.
That would be an increase on the $69 million salary cap that is in place for the 2014-15 season, per CapGeek.
The future of the salary cap is generally a prominent topic of discussion at the league’s Board of Governors meeting in December.
