Capitals, Rangers complete minor-league deal

The Washington Capitals traded forward John Albert and defenceman Hubert Labrie to the New York Rangers in exchange for forwards Adam Chapie and Joe Whitney on Friday.

Albert, 29, has three goals and 11 points in 33 games with the Hershey Bears this season.

Labrie, 26, has one goal and seven points in 35 games.

Chapie, 26, has two goals and seven points in 31 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Whitney, 30, has two goals and seven points in 31 games as Hartford’s captain.
