Capitals re-sign Travis Boyd to two-way contract

The Washington Capitals have re-signed forward Travis Boyd to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level.

Boyd, 23, registered 16 goals and 47 assists in 76 games with the AHL’s Hershey Bears during the 2016-17 season, and was named the team’s MVP. In addition, Boyd finished the season tied for third in the AHL in assists and tied for sixth in points.
