Capitals’ Tom Wilson to have hearing for hit on Blues’ Sam Blais

Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson will have a hearing with the NHL’s department of player safety on Tuesday for a hit on St. Louis Blues forward Samuel Blais.

Wilson was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for a supposed hit from behind on Blais during a pre-season game on Sunday.

The game wasn’t televised, though the league does have an in-stadium feed it can review.

The NHL had already suspended Wilson for two pre-season games for a hit on Blues prospect Robert Thomas on Sept. 22.
