It’s believed Skinner will make his regular-season debut in the Hurricanes’ next game, which isn’t until Tuesday when they visit the Winnipeg Jets, however team hasn’t confirmed his status for that game.
In other Hurricanes news, the team assigned forwards Patrick Brown and Brody Sutter to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League. Sutter became the ninth member his family to play in the NHL when he suited up for Thursday’s shootout loss to the New York Rangers.
