Should NHL suspend Andrew Shaw for head-butt?

Chicago Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw was suspended one game by the NHL on Wednesday.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw should expect to receive a call from the NHL’s Department of Player Safety after head-butting New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson not once, but twice.

Early in the second period, as the two battled for a puck Shaw responded to a cross check from Nelson by driving his helmet into Nelson’s face.

Nelson went down but remained in the game. Shaw was assessed a five-minute head-butting major and a game misconduct and it might not be the only punishment he receives.
