The injury-plagued season for Sergei Bobrovsky continues. The Columbus Blue Jackets netminder was forced to leave Thursday’s game against the Calgary Flames midway through the second period.
The Blue Jackets confirmed it was a lower-body injury, but it’s unclear at this time the exact nature of the injury is and how severe it is. Bobrovsky, who was replaced by Joonas Korpisalo, had allowed two goals on 13 shots prior to heading to the dressing room.
It was only the 2013 Vezina winner’s second start since suffering a groin injury Dec. 8 against the Los Angeles Kings. Bobrovsky allowed five goals in a loss to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday in his first game back.
The Flames ended up beating the Blue Jackets 4-2.
