Commodore blasts Canucks fans on Twitter

Mike Commodore ripped Vancouver Canucks fans on Twitter.

Former NHL defenceman Mike Commodore thinks Vancouver Canucks fans who think Roberto Luongo cost them a Stanley Cup in 2010-11 are off base.

Commodore sounded off on Canucks fans on Twitter after Luongo said at a press conference Wednesday his contract sucks and he would “scrap it” if he could.

Canucks fans have been critical of Luongo’s play in the past and many were hoping the team could have traded him at the NHL Trade Deadline Wednesday.

Commodore has played 484 career NHL games with the New Jersey Devils, Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes, Ottawa Senators, and Columbus Blue Jackets, and Detroit Red Wings.

He won a Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes in 2005-06.
