Could Canadiens’ Gallagher be available for Winter Classic?

Damien Cox and Elliotte Friedman take a look at all the top headlines from around the hockey world.

There’s a possibility Brendan Gallagher may be available to return from injury to play in the 2016 Winter Classic, reports Sportsnet’s Damien Cox.

The Montreal Canadiens forward broke two fingers on his left hand blocking a shot on Nov. 22 and has missed 15 games since.

Cox said that Gallagher skated with the club today and that there has been some talk about him playing in the outdoor game against the Boston Bruins.

Despite being out of the lineup, Gallagher made an appearance in the Epix Road to the Winter Classic reality show.

Gallagher has 19 points in 22 games in 2015-16.
