Phoenix Coyotes defenceman Rostislav Klesla suffered an injury in Sunday’s pre-season game against the Los Angeles Kings and was taken off the ice on a stretcher.

Kings forward Jordan Nolan received four minutes in penalties and a 10-minute misconduct. It appears Nolan could be suspended for his actions under Rule 48, according to Fox Sports Arizona’s Craig Morgan.

Klesla was hit by Nolan during the first period.

It appears the 31-year-old suffered a neck injury.

Klesla gave a thumbs up to the fans as he was stretchered off.
